Every biker can choose the tour that best suits for him. Some are flat, some are more demanding, such as the one that starts from Sterzing/Vipiteno and reaches Bozen/Bolzano or the Puster Valley via Brixen/Bressanone. If you feel too tired, you can always catch a train for the return.
There are just a few rules to follow: be careful of hikers on the path, always close the mountain pastures gates/fence after your passage so that the cattle is kept safe. Enjoy the surrounding unspoilt nature with its plants and animals. Please do not litter: you will find plenty of bins in the every town. Last but not least, plan your itinerary in time and carefully.
The panoramic tour starting from Ratschings is truly something unforgettable: it is 21 km and 760 m long and meets several mountain huts. The starting point is the valley station of the Ratschings facility; from there you take the forest path downhill to the Pulvererhof farmstead. Once you pass the Kaserlicht mountain pasture you will need to carry the bike a little and mount again to go up to the Wasserfaller mountain pasture and finally reach the Kalcher mountain pasture through lawns and woods. Take the path “Ratshingser Talweg” to go back from where you started.
